Last year, with the help of queer and trans book bloggers, bookstagrammers, and booktokers, I created a Sapphic Romance BINGO card. It’s full of delicious tropes. I had the idea that I was going to make it spell SAPPHO, so I made it 6x6 instead of 5x5, but then I realized no one would know what I was talking about if I just shouted out SAPPHO! instead of BINGO! Doesn’t matter. The point is that, this very week, I finally won! I completed the challenge! I filled out my SAPPHO!/BINGO! card! And now I am here to share it with you. You might get some good book recommendations, or you might give me some good book recommendations — who knows?
There were only three rules for SAPPHO!/BINGO!: 1) I couldn’t use the same author more than once to fill out my card. 2) All books had to be written by queer authors. 3) Books didn’t have to be categorized as romance; they only had to have some gay looove.
And here it is, completed! (Full list of books below this graphic.)
This list is left to right, then top to bottom. I won’t bog this post down with reviews, but you can probably find little blurby write-ups for most of these on my GoodReads. Some of them might still be on my to-review list, but I’ll get there! (Also, just FYI, I don’t review books I don’t like because I don’t have any interest in tearing down authors, so that’s how come my rating system is so high over there. I prefer to talk about what I love.) Here’s the full BINGO!/SAPPHO! list!
