Oh Heather. Of course this made me weepy. When I saw this email in my inbox, I saw "Bad Girls" and didn't know about the UK tv show so I assumed it was about the extremely gay episode of Buffy. (That episode makes everyone gay when they watch it, right?) But this post, thank you so much for it. I ended up reading the whole thing even though I'm low on spoons (longcovid first waver, I knew you in the body politic forum..the soft butch that couldn't, inspired me to get my first mobility device...)... and I realized I'm pretty sure I also stopped in a park by Lake Lanier -- just once -- to be in a wide open space for a panic attack. A panic attack is a crappy way to be by a lake, but a lake is an excellent place to have a panic attack. So grateful for you and your words. Talking about the extremely hard shit is so healing to witness and helps your readers (or at least me) think about our own shit in new ways and has these nice ripple effects but even if it didn't. <3

Oh, Heather. Thank you for this one.

I know this is just a parasocial relationship but I hope you know there are more of us irl who would listen to you tell us your times tables if we came across you in a park. 💛
